Here's a website where you can 'ping' your blog and sent it to different search engines so you get your site into the traffic streams. Each time you update your site, you can go to this site and 'ping' your blog.

Remember, do it only once after you have update your blog. If you do it several times, you might get blocked by the search engines for spamming.
