In EUROPE we practice the freedom of speech, even the presidents, kings, queens and our pope have funny caricatures pasted on newspapers. It's just a form of expression but the issue that came out of this one is not just because of one cartoonist.

I've followed my dad's discussions and watching TV debates on that matter. I agree with one Muslim woman that the riots actually started from a deep rooted emotional hatred put upon the society and the caricature is used as a tool to stir everything up.

We are friends here and should remain so no matter what color, religion or background we came from.

German flag was also burnt in Gaza.

My dad said G. Bush started the whole thing but we cannot blame him for what happened today. The cartoonist is a stupid Icon_signs94

maybe out there to stir up tension. When the cartoons were published in Denmark, a Muslim cleric brought the matter up to the government but was rejected for their freedom of expression/speech. So he brought them to Egypt which started the whole riots now.

It seems 4 pictures of the cartoons that are circulating in the newspapers weren't even from the cartoonist! But nobody cares right now- they just want somebody to blame.

BUT this anger shouldn't escalate to killing a Catholic priest by a boy! Or destroying and burning embassies- ISLAM doesn't teach its people to do such thing as far as my knowledge of this religion.

I wish for peace.

I would really recommend that this thread be taken down. All Malaysian IP adresses at at risk when you open a page about this issue....even you HX, you may not always be in Malaysia but when you are, you are using an exposed Ip Address....please take this down unless you dont mind going to jail.... im sure all malaysians watched the news today....
