whats up with hackers in nicksplat these days, i like it wen i had my first blog, everyone was new to blogging, and every one was friendly, chatting and everything, now its corrupted, new bloggers spam, chain letters, hackers, people who obviously dont read the user agreement(who does???) and post sick images,

I observed the same thing. The place is filled with some really nasty spammers. I mean come on.... it's supposed to be a kids site and shouldn't it be kids safe too?

Some kids are so super deprived and already sick in their brain- too much air in the head. It still scares me each time I visit my blog in Nicksplat, always crossing my fingers everything there is still intact.

And the monitors? Why 3 monitors have a monitor logo but the rest don't?

some of you are looking at things things all wrong....

1. Hackers are not copycats

2. Copycats are not hackers

3. Hackers hack into you blog and destroy everything for their own satisfaction. That is against the rules of Nicksplat.com

4. Copycats copy things from your blog like the "Editors Desk" title like HX mentioned before. But what they are doing is NOT against the rules as long as they dont steal your graphics and claim them as their own or even claim you said something that you didnt.... believe me, ive had so many lol sessions with admin on msn about how many people said i asked them to marry me, and now through marrage, they become monitors too!

5. Hackers come with popularity...the growing popularity of nicksplat.com has attracted attention from a lot of hackers....and with the bad security on the site added with the fact that Nick US have apsolutely nothing to do with the site(its run by a few singaporeans at the nick HQ in sunny singapore), makes it very hard to maintain the security of your blog.

6. Spammers....like chain letters come with the age of most bloggers on nicksplat, majority are between 8-12, which makes a lot of ummm....educationally challenged kids out there believe in this junk.

7. Im sure everyone posting here has copied something intentionally or inadvertantly from someone elses blog....does that make you a copycat? No, because its you!*sarcasm*

I don't claim NOT TO COPY from somewhere else, we all do- with pictures of Celebrities, comics, etc but I do insist on making my own effects and animation out of them.

I think there are a LOT of ummm.. "educationally challenged kids " as you so nicely put it that need to be reminded and put to place. Nicksplat.com needs more security and I'm not one very efficient with those web terms but I know you can disallow certain nicknames with crude and obsence words. I have had Pussyeater and BlackNigga in my guest book. :icon_angry3:

karma is points you add and minus from people who u like and dont like....if someone keeps on spamming you can minus their karma and people will know that this member is not liked that much...just like im gonna do to BH, now that she is top poster and all!
you can also add it so people know reading the persons post is worthwhile...
