Please post pictures of Indian food you like. For those who know more about this Indian cuisine, please tell us more so we are better informed!

Sometimes on Sunday, we will go to this little Indian restaurant at sharp 11:00am because they serve this food on banana leaves only on Sunday.

I love eating with my hand and pretty good at it because I have been doing that since I was small. The curries are very nice and usually by the time we finished lunch, all of us will be quite sick and full to our throats!

Here's another Indian dish that I like.
Chicken Tandoori

The one I've eaten are usually served in a big plate with separate compartments for different sauces. I love eating chicken tandoori with capati or garlic naan. Icon_emotions16

What is 'PANiPURi'? It looks familiar to me. Is it like a miniature doughnut with some spices inside? If that is the one, I ate some before and love it ----err... maybe not too much but I was hungry and dad bought to try them when we were invited to an Indian temple.

I like the plain white rice for Chicken Bryaini, not the one shown in the picture because I don't quite like the heavy taste. My mom loves Chicken Bryaini.

What is 'PAV BHAJi'? I see some green peas there and I don't like green pea cooked! =P
Please explain and thank you for contributing! Icon_emotions16

the round things aren't doughnuts HX! they are kind of hard crispy stuffs. u make a small hole in them & fill them with spices , chutney & a mint water & then pop it into you mouth! u also add a bit of potato.!!thats panipuri. in mumbai many outdoor stalls sell them!
pav bhaji does not need to have peas in them!! i hate them!!its a mixed veggies dish (heavy filler) with a differnt type of bread called pav. u add a bit of butter & kinda toast it. i also like vada pav which is a common man's burger in mumbai! its a potato cutlet kinda thing which is put in a pav & stuffed with some chutneys!! you can guess i love pavs!! I asked my mom again about that 'doughnut' thingy (LOL I called them doughnuts because I don't know what they are called) and she said they looked like 'wa-de' to her but she's not sure because you said they have a crisp outer crust. We love Indian food but we don't know most of their names.

Here is a picture I asked mom to take today. Dad's friend gave us a few packets of these Mumbai 'Pampadum' when he came back from his buying trip. I don't like it because it comes with some spices but mom and dad love them. I asked her specially to make two today!

Bianca, are you of Indian origin?

No wonder the package said PAPAD! I'm not a fan of it! LOL
My hair has a brown tinge on it but that streak you see are the left-over of my blonde-dyed hair! It's just a handful but I'm not allowed anymore to blech my hair because mom found out I had split ends because of that!

I just found a yummy looking photo! I don't eat most of the curries (is that what you call those in the little bowls) but I can eat at least 4 - 5 pieces of that garlic naan.

Each time we have guests from Europe, they love going to these kind of Indian restaurants.
Do you think you can name all the dishes on that platter?

oh! i thought it looked blonde!! anyways, yes those dishes in the bowls are called curries or in hindi they are called sabji or bhaji.um, i don't think i can name the dishes cause there are maybe a 100 or more curries in idia !!so... the whole dish (the whole plate the man is holding) is called a thali. may i know whether its punjabi thali or gujarati? i can name a few stuff! the triangular thing next to thegreeny leaves is called a samosa & the green bowl on its left is green or pudina chutney & the red thing is a spicy chutney. the two ball kinda things next to the naan can be aloo or undiyo (if its gujarti thali) or it can be chicken or something if its the punjabi one.. that's all i can recollect right now!! OMIGOD!!! Ashirox... you are making me hungry!

Over here in Malaysia, we call it pampadum and when I checked the package someone bought from Mumbai, it says PAPAD.

The vada pav looks like 'vade'. I was looking high and low for vade picture but didn't find anything because the name is probably different. It is made of lentils and deep fried to a cripsy gold? I ate some before but don't like lentils and no chilli for me please - not even those green ones.

Do people eat vada pav like hamburgers? LOL

"crispyy puri's stuffed with delicious filling" That picture looks yummy. What kind of filling? Is puri made of rice? Please spare me if I'm not familiar with the name because I will forget them eventually but I love looking at the pictures.

What are those heart-shaped food in greeny coating?
