I learnt that in a tutoriol. They called it a 'blend'. It was made by one of the posters here in asc... i forgot who..

Well, easiest way is Photomerge in Photoshop CS2. But you need to use the Healing Brush hardly! =D

Well I told you this before in the topic that you make but I'll say it again:
You can use TEXTUREs! and then with the textures use the blending options and the opacity.
