Gong Xi Fa Chai!!! Thanks for the wishes and the same to you to!!!
I am celebrating New Year's Eve dinner and my Chinese birthday as well!!! Going to get some ang pows for dinner and then another set the next day!!!  How great is that!!! 
What are some of you who celebrate doing for dinner? Mine is usually steam boat with tons of food you cannot finish! |

My whole family ( uncles and aunts included ) is each cooking a dish and bringing them to my grandpa's house. then we eat there together and get ang pows AKA hong baos.
YAY!!!!!

Chris darling.... you are absolutely right!  There are many ways of spelling ang pow (hong pow) and Gong Xi Fa Cai. Just google search-
Wow kimi25, looks like a kind of pot luck party! Over here, we had our usual steam boat dinner with so much food. Since my mom and my aunt love popiah, my "AMAH" (grams) bought 2 kgs of popiah skin and they ate so much before dinner! I don't like fresh popiah, so amah deep fried for me and ended up my dad, uncle and I had to share! Then steam boat dinner. Everyone was trying to push giant prawns on my plate but after my last "Angelina Jolie's" Lips episode, I am NOT touching them. We had Yee-Sang but I only ate the salmon. Mom sneaked undressed salmon for me because we bought extra and I didn't like the sauce in Yee Sang.
Did you play fireworks? I did. Dad bought a huge red fireworks and more stuffs- the men and boys went shopping for them! I am waiting for more when my cousins come back from their garndparents' house is north of Johore. I don't remember the name but they sell lots of fireworks there. I like fireworks.
Hope this Chinese Lunar New Year bring lots of dogging fun to all of us! |

poor u! ur allergic to prawns! my mum is allergic too. so i always get the prawns!!  [anymore??] fireworks? i love it! to bad they dun allow fire crackers![mercu right?] oh well..Gong Xi Fa Cai HX! Gong Xi Fa Cai Chriz!
