Yeup..Hil101, I know..It's so over cruel..I think they just don't know how animals feel..They have rights, feelings and lifes..Just like us..
WHAT iF SOMEONE PUT YOU iN A CAGE, TAKE YOU OUT BY THE LEGS AND SCRAPE YOU BY HAND AND WiTHOUT KiLLiNG?
I wouldn't want that..NOBODY would.
Then why should people do that to animals when they are like friends to us?I feel like I'm an animal myself but a nice one that is better than any other.I hope you guys understand how people can be these days..

No there is nothing wrong eating bugs. The Thai and Vietnamese eat them. What I'm trying to say with the remark below:

That the Chinese eat EVERYTHING - no matter if they are endangered or not. They eat those endangered species because they believe the men will be strong. Can you imagine killing a bear and eating the testicals and penis because the men think that would make them powerful in bed!!!!  The Chinese in the video that Ratri posted are that kind of people. They have no mercy for animals.
My dad and I also wrote to Discovery Travel and Living about this cook....can't remember his name but he was seen drinking the blood of a snake! Does he has to do that?! If Discovery shows educational clips on ANIMAL RIGHTS, then they shouldn't show documentary like that where this chef sat, watched the Chinese man tie the live snake and stick a knife and drained its blood so he can have a drink!!!!! How cruel is that?!
In China and Taiwan, they put a dog in a sack, beat it up because they believe when you bruise the animal with blood at the surface, it tastes nicer!!!! Argghhhhhhhhh!!!! I am not against people who eat dogs or cats because maybe that's what they eat, some eat insects, maggots.... BUT I am against people who torture these animals first before killing them. You can kill them quickly - not torture them first.
My dad once was invited in an official Taiwanese visit long time ago. He was aware that these people eat dogs but after two weeks of beautiful experience, he forgot about it. On his last dinner, a big governement official pointed to dad several puppies outside the restaurant. Dad was like thinking, "Oh boy... how am I going to bring the puppy back through Immigration and Health issue with vaccination." That man pointed to a dark puppy but dad somehow said he prefered the white one and forgot all about it.
A few minutes later, a dish was served with the poor puppy head on the table!!!!   To them, the head is to show dad that it's the puppy my dad wanted to eat! Dad was so shocked but he couldn't do anything at that time because if you're against them, you might get arrested and all he wanted to do was fly back. He felt so guilty 'killing' the poor puppy.
See .... it's not just the ordinary people that eat them, especially the endangered species. To some people, eating them showed wealth, that you got tons of money.
The fur industry is the same. The poor people kill for them while the rich make more money! |

Yes, xsHuRx.... sad to say the Chinese do eat a LOT of everything. I'm half Chinese and my mom and family don't eat stuffs like that. Not all Chinese go for that but there is a status symbol to eating those wild animals.

I can't believe that they actually kill innocent little puppies..Grrrr..
I don't like Discovery Travel and Living coz I saw when this girl was going to Ghana, Africa, they kill street rats and lose the heads off and they actually boil them!And scrape off their fur and eat it!
I can't believe that they are like that!
They SHOULD..I mean..MUST go against people who are like that!

um puppies is bad but rats um kinda gross see the thing with these people is that they find nothing wrong with eating puppies or rats
for them its just like eating chicken and chicken go thru the same prosess first wait i've seen this happen wen i was 6 years old first they cut off the head then they drain the blood some dont but most do then they pluck the feathers then they cut the meat into pieces and seprate the organs form the mucles but thats it  |

Actually there is nothing wrong eating them. Just because we don't eat them doesn't mean someone else from a different country won't. Maybe that's their source of meat because they are so poor. Maybe to them it's a delicacy (spelling check pls).
When I was living in Phuket, we have a few staffs from the northern region of Thailand, somewhere near Chieng Mai. These people eat fresh chicken blood mixed with some herbs and rice. They knew not to cook in our kitchen with fresh chicken blood but they did bring back some from the market to share with their friends. While it was icky to me, to them they love it. When mom bought good, big size fish for them to eat, they told my mom they didn't like big fish. They prefer those skinny ones. I didn't understand at first why they won't want a better fish but mom explained that they are so used to smaller fish because it's cheaper and that was what they can afford. Mom threw all the chicken skins away when she cook and was surprised when the staffs collect them back from the garbage. To them, that's food - they can fry the skin and eat them!
They also love the pickle small crabs which I think looked horrible because they weren't cook and cleaned. The staffs can stomach all that because they are used to these kind of food but if we eat them, off to the toilet we go!
Again, I am okay if people eat different kind of animals as long as it's not an endangered animal. BUT I am AGAINST people who are cruel towards creatures of GOD.
For your information Switzerland and South Korea are the highest dog meat eaters in the world!!! Are you surprised?!
I was when I was discussing this topic with my dad. However dad said the dogs in Switzerland are breed for their meat and there is no torture when they kill them. I don't know how the South Korean do it though.
