Stuck with the free image editor, The GIMP? Well, sad no more! Here, I'm gonna teach u how to blend in The GIMP!!

I will be using these 3 Vanessa Hudgens pics. It'll be easier if you blend pictures that is taken in a studio b/c they usually have plain coloured background! You can get the pics here:

1) Firstly, start off by opening the 3 pictures by going File > Open.

2) Next, click on File > New and follow the settings below.

3) Then, transfer all of the images to the window u just created by going Edit > Copy
and Edit > Paste it on the new window. Then you'll get a Floating Selection
(Pasted Layer) in ur layers palette. To get rid of it, click on the Create New Layer
icon.

4) After you've transfered all the pictures to the window, align it like below.

5) Now, pick the Rect Select tool and follow the settings below.

6) Drag your mouse to the second pic and kinda make a small rectangle like mine, you
don't make it on the first picture or it will dissapear!

7) After you do the rectangle, press CTRL + X on your keyboard and your picture
should look like mine (with the third pic overlapping)

8) Now, do it to the third picture and u should get this

9) Finally, we're almost done!! Now, this is the fun part! Add some effect, colouring,
gradients, text and brushes and voila! This is the final product!

NOTE: I did all this in The GIMP! Fantastic, huh? The GIMP is FREE and is just as powerful as Adobe Photoshop. There is some disadvantages though like u can't resize the brushes. Try it! They're 100% free!!! Works on both Windows and Linux!

Nice tut! I tried following it, But i think i have a different version of gimp....everytime i press ctrl+x the images disappear one by one...i didnt make the rectangle on the first pic too! Icon_favorites42
