lolz..yea..it's like Cho was an extra..
ok why are we talknig about Harry Potter 5?
it's suppose to be Deathly Hallows..
ok i researched..here:
The number of people and creatures destroyed in the days leading to the final battle is impossible to count. There are some losses that are easier to read than others. Many loyal Harry Potter fans expected that Hagrid would not survive the sixth book and surely not the seventh, but the friendly giant does make it through the battles.
Professor McGonagall was a possible victim, but she not only survives, she manages to put her wand to good use in gathering the troops and fighting the Death Eaters in the Hogwarts battle. Draco Malfoy comes close to death, but the bad boy favorite of many fans does survive two close encounters - and the fact that he was saved by both Harry and Ron leads to Harry's survival in his next to last meeting with the Dark Lord...
So who does die in this book?
There are so many...
The first death is Professor Charity Burbage, Professor of Muggle Studies at Hogwarts. The book actually opens with Voldemort torturing her, hitting her with Avada Kedavra, the killing curse, and feeding her to his snake as a punishment for standing up for the rights of Muggles.
In Chapter Four, as Harry leaves Privit Drive for the final time, the group sent to protect him is attacked by Voldemort and the Death Eaters. We lose Hedwig, the white snowy owl that has been Harry's friend and mail carrier through the previous six books.
In this battle Mad-Eye Moody, the Auror is killed. George Weasley is badly wounded, but survives.
Scrimgeour, the Minister of Magic is killed to put Voldemort's man in power.
Gregorovitch, the wandmaker, and Grindelwald, the dark wizard, are killed by Voldemort in his search for the Elder Wand, one of the three Deathly Hallows. Ollivander, the wandmaker is tortured, but saved by Dobby.
Bathilda Bagshot, an old friend of Dumbledore's family who still lived in Godric's Hollow, was murdered in order to lure Harry into a trap if he visited her for information.
Dobby, Harry's loyal protector dies rescuing him from Malfoy's house as Voldemort is about to arrive.
In Chapter 27 the goblin from Gringotts who brings news to Voldemort that the cup has been stolen is killed as are many Death Eaters. The Malfoys manage to escape from the room and survive the Dark Lord's murderous rage.
Snape is killed by Voldemort or more specifically by Nagini, but not because he was found to be a traitor...
Quite a few Hogwarts students, many who were part of Dumbledore's Army, plus members of the Order of the Phoenix died in the final battle. Crabbe was killed by the Fiendfyre he created to kill Harry - it almost killed Draco Malfoy. Tonks, Lupin and Fred Weasley are the main characters lost in the Battle of Hogwarts, but more than 50 were killed.
The biggest loss should have been Harry...the odds-on favorite to not outlive the series. He does get murdered by Voldemort, but the killing curse winds up only destroying the piece of Voldemort's soul that lived in Harry. Pretending to be dead, Harry is carried back to Hogwarts where Neville Longbottom risks his life to destroy Nagini, the last of the Horcruxes. The last victim in the book is Voldemort, himself. Destroyed by his own curse...
[Added by an email from a reader - you forget to mention the deaths of Ted Tonks the Auror Nymphdora's (Tonks) father, Dirk Cresswell who was travelling with him as well as the goblin Gornuk. Wormtails death as a price for showing mercy. Colin Creevey who was mentioned as one of the Hogwarts students killed... and of course the fabulous killing of Bellatrix Lestrange by Mrs Weasley - after a shout of "Not my daughter, you b****!" as Ginny barely ducked a Killing Curse.]
What were the Horcruxes? Voldemort split his soul into seven pieces in an attempt to conquer death. As long as any of the pieces of his soul survived, he could be returned to life. Unknown to Voldemort, he also left part of his soul with Harry when he attempted to kill him. That meant there were eight pieces of Voldemort's soul. One in his body, one in Harry and the other six stored in objects that had value or special meaning to Voldemort.
Tom Riddle's Diary - destroyed with a Basilisk's fang by Harry
The Gaunt Ring - destroyed with the Sword of Gryffindor by Dumbledore
The RAB Locket - destroyed with the Sword of Gryffindor by Ron
Hufflepuff's Cup - destroyed with a Basilisk's fang by Hermione
Rowena Ravenclaw's Lost Diadem - destroyed by Crabbe's Fiendfyre during the Battle at Hogwarts
Nagini, The Snake - destroyed by Neville Longbottom
Harry - survives, but the piece of Voldemort's soul is destroyed... by Voldemort
Voldemort - destroyed by Voldemort
Snape - the Half Blood Prince - was he good or bad? Both and neither? It turns out that Snape was a loyal Death Eater until Voldemort killed Lily Potter, Harry's mother. Severus Snape fell in love with Lilly as a young boy, before they came to Hogwarts. He pleaded with Voldemort to spare her life. After she was killed, he worked to overthrow the Dark Lord. He worked with Dumbledore to protect Harry even after Dumbledore was dead. As Snape died, he asked Harry to look at him. One last vision of Lily Potter's eyes...
What are the Deathly Hallows? The Tales of Beedle the Bard included a story of three brothers who cheated death and received three items - the Deathly Hallows. Ignotus Peverell, an ancestor of Harry's was one of the brothers. The Invisibility Cloak which was passed down through his family to James and then to Harry, was one of the Deathly Hallows. The Elder Wand, the Wand of Destiny, the Death Stick, which Voldemort stole from Dumbledore's tomb was another. The Resurrection Stone, which was passed through Voldemort's family mounted in the ring that was used as a Horcrux was the third. Voldemort and Harry were related since they both descended from the Peverell brothers!
Yes, Hermione and Ron get married and have a family. So do Harry and Ginny. One of Harry's boys, Albus Severus, is named for Dumbledore and Severus Snape!
Draco Malfoy also marries and his son, Scorpius, goes to Hogwarts with the Potters and Weasleys.
These are just bits of information. If you want to fill in the blanks, read the book. It's brilliant!! |

yep! Its true.
Dumbledore is gay.
Me and HX were going to make a new topic about this but I think Chris saved us the job. XD.
Here is how she revealed Dumbledore is gay:
| Quote: | Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling outed Hotwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore at last night’s talk at New York City’s Carnegie Hall.
A young fan asked during the Q&A if Dumbledore finds true love and Rowling responded, “Dumbledore is gay.”
The audience gasped, some burst into applause, others gave a standing ovation.
Added Rowling, “Dumbledore fell in love with rival Gellert Grindelwald… Don’t forget, falling in love can blind us. [He] was very drawn to this brilliant person. This was Dumbledore’s great tragedy… In fact, recently I was in a script read through for the sixth film, and they had Dumbledore saying a line to Harry early in the script saying I knew a girl once, whose hair… [laughter]. I had to write a little note in the margin and slide it along to the scriptwriter, “Dumbledore’s gay!” [laughter] If I’d known it would make you so happy, I would have announced it years ago!” |

here's more news:
1. Fans of Book 6, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, rejoice! Author J.K. Rowling stated on her official site that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final novel in the Harry Potter series is virtually an extension of Half-Blood Prince. The themes and events from Book 7 are so closely tied to Book 6 that it's "almost as though they are two halves of the same novel."
2. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will have the largest first U.S. printing of any book in history, with 12 million copies, and publisher Scholastic expects a swift sell-through. (The current record-holder as fastest-selling book in U.S. history is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and it had a first American printing of 10.8 million.)
3. Sixty-five percent of copies in the first U.S. printing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be certified by the Forest Stewardship Council as being comprised of 30% "post-consumer waste fiber," the largest commitment to printing on recycled paper by any publisher in history.
4. Prior to the title being officially announced (unveiled in a December 2006 crossword puzzle on J.K. Rowling's website), rumors spread across the Internet speculating the book would take one of the following titles: Harry Potter and the Pyramids of Furmat, Harry Potter and the Green Flame Torch, Harry Potter and the Toenail of Ickilbogg, Harry Potter and the Pillar of Storge, or Harry Potter and the Mystic Kettle of Knackledirk.
5. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is already the favorite of at least one person, J. K. Rowling herself. "While each of the previous Potter books has strong claims on my affections," J. K. Rowling wrote on her site, "Deathly Hallows is my favourite, and that is the most wonderful way to finish the series."
SPOILER ALERT: The rest of this list contains possible spoilers regarding the plot of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- a mix of points divulged by the author in interviews and statements on her website, and some conjecture by Harry Potter fans -- which may or may not end up being accurate. We'll find out July 21, but until then, read at your own risk....
6. Harry turns 17 years old, and is spending a seventh term at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which climaxes with seventh-year students taking the wizardry tests known as NEWTs. He gets to perform magic outside school -- normally a no-no -- and he will receive an Apparition license.
7. Harry will pay one more visit to the home of his Muggle relatives the Dursleys, during his break from school. But the protection Dumbledore has provided Harry while outside Hogwarts is set to expire.
8. Vital details about Harry's parents -- particularly Lily Potter -- are revealed in Deathly Hallows, such as the significance of the similarity between Harry's and his mother's eyes.
9. Minor tidbits: Harry may get another pet, a Muggle may perform magic, there will be no Quidditch, and Sirius Black's two-way mirror and flying motorcycle make return appearances.
10. THE END: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will definitely be the end of the series, and Rowling has braced her fans to expect deaths of multiple major characters. The final chapter details what becomes of the surviving characters, and Rowling has stated that the last word of the book is "scar." |
